Epic Flies High at Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, Further Expanding Helicopter Ranch Management Services.
Epic is the first commercial exhibitor in the history of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show to feature a helicopter on static display. In addition to other helicopter services provided by the company, Epic is showcasing capabilities in predator control, game survey, helicopter cattle mustering and other service offerings while exhibiting at the show. The show coincides with the announcement of the company's further expansion of its commercial division in support of the growing demands of helicopter ranch management activities.
The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is the oldest continually running livestock show and rodeo, which has been held annually in Fort Worth, TX since 1896.

Another Helicopter Holiday Lights Tour season kicked off today. This year, two very special Helicopter Holiday Light Tours will be offered by Epic Helicopters: “Santa’s Sleigh Ride” and “Santa’s Silver Bullet”. Both tours offer incredible views of twinkling holiday lights from Santa’s perspective. The “Silver Bullet” tour, however, will take you to the Grand Prairie lights show – home to over 4 million holiday lights. It’s a sight to behold.

11/14/2009 - Epic Provides Aerial Media Coverage for TCU’s Victory over Utah
Epic Helicopters was hovering high over the TCU vs. Utah football game on November 14, 2009 providing aerial media coverage to document the historic game. The game shattered Texas Christian University’s stadium attendance record as 50,307 fans watched TCU continue their undefeated streak. Epic’s aerial photography and video customers have come to expect a level of quality and professionalism in aerial media work that surpasses the ordinary. Go Frogs!
11/5/2009 - Epic Opens Doors to Domestic and International Markets with Custom Training Programs
Epic has stepped into the international marketplace as a trusted partner in professional helicopter pilot training by meeting requirements during a certification and security clearance process. As a result, Epic Helicopters is now able to issue visas to non U.S. students. These students are able to enroll in Epic’s comprehensive helicopter pilot training curriculum that is also approved by the Federal Aviation Administration under 14 CFR Part 141.
In addition to primary flight instruction for students without any experience, Epic Helicopters also develops and conducts custom helicopter flight training programs for organizations with existing flight departments, providing these clients with safe, consistent and professional instruction conducted by the Company’s Airline Transport rated pilots, the highest certificate a pilot can achieve.

What made the evening so special for Matt and Jenifer Hawkins? The married couple’s romantic date was certainly the most adventurous gift Jenifer has given to Matt – a helicopter flyover of the Cowboys Stadium, Ballpark and many other landmarks along the way! 5/26/2009 - Helicopter Tours Voted “Best View of the City”, 2009
Epic Helicopters has been voted “Best View of the City” 2009 by the readers of Fort Worth, Texas Magazine in recognition of a wide selection of remarkable helicopter tours. The award was announced in Fort Worth, TX Magazine’s “Best Of” issue, published in June 2009. Epic Helicopters is also sponsoring the Best Of 2009 party, to be hosted by Fort Worth, TX Magazine on June 12, 2009, benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs.

05/11/2009 - Partnerships In Action Golf Ball Drop a Success
Epic Helicopters teamed with Partnerships In Action for the second consecutive year to assist in the fundraising efforts in the 3rd Annual AKF Golf Tournament. Tournament participants purchased golf balls which were dropped by helicopter. The lucky winner’s ball made it in the hole! Proceeds benefit the Aga Khan Foundation whose mission is to raise awareness and funds for innovative programs that create hope and opportunity for disadvantaged communities in the developing world.
5/11/2009 - Epic Helicopters Supports Boys and Girls Clubs in Golf Ball Drop
For the third consecutive year, Epic Helicopters conducted a fundraising golf ball drop at the Rob Blakewell Memorial Golf Tournament, benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Worth. Epic Helicopters arrived minutes before tee time to drop over 100 golf balls purchased by tournament attendees. The lucky winner’s ball was plucked from the hole in which the helicopter hovered over while dropping the balls.
2/19/2009 - Linbeck Selects Epic to Document Construction Progress
In partnership with Linbeck Construction, Epic Helicopters will document the expansion of Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX through aerial photography. The 540,000 square-foot expansion is slated for completion in 2011, which will include a new medical office building, indoor/outdoor play areas, expanded specialty clinics and more than 50 additional patient beds. Linbeck’s previous work for Cook’s was awarded the AGC Outstanding Construction Award.

1/31/2009 - Epic Helicopters Earns Distinction as Part 141 Approved Training Academy
Epic Helicopters is proud to announce the accreditation of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Part 141 operating certificate. Being designated a Part 141 approved flight academy is essentially the FAA’s “stamp of approval” on Epic Helicopters’ courses, pilots, and facilities. Part 141 certification allows Epic Helicopters to pursue additional accreditations such as approval by the Department of Veterans Affairs to accept the GI Bill and visa issuing authority for foreign students.
11/30/2008 - Robinson Helicopter Factory Authorized Service Center Awarded
Epic Helicopters’ Maintenance Department has earned the prestigious distinction of a Robinson Helicopter Factory Authorized Service Center. The certification from Robinson sets Epic apart as a premier maintenance facility with the highest of safety and quality standards. Epic Helicopters will operate the Service Center in a 3,000+ square foot hangar.
05/01/2008 - Facility Expansion Complete
Epic Helicopters quickly outgrew the original office space occupied since the company’s inception in 2006. The new facility contains 7 individual offices for private instruction and two group classrooms. Epic has the current capacity to instruct 22 students simultaneously. The new space also boasts a student study and flight planning area, a larger reception area, waiting room and dispatch desk.
07/03/2007 - Addition of Flight Simulator Reduces Training Costs
In meeting the needs and training demands of our flight academy students, a flight simulator was purchased to supplement certain flight experience requirements for students enrolled in Epic Helicopters Flight Academy.The simulator is ideal for instrument instruction students wishing to satisfy certain hour requirements at a significantly reduced cost. Rated instrument pilots can also use the simulator to satisfy recurrency of training requirements at an affordable price.
